The Brown Kitchen

On buying our first home over a year ago, I have slowly been renovating here and there, our finances really dictates the pace! The kitchen is very small and brown! It is the room that I am mostly in and decided it had priority next! I looked at many options including respraying, which was far more expensive than I had anticipated.

Painted Kitchen Door Disaster Averted

Landlord Adrian - Kitchen in Rental Property Before 1
Painted Kitchen Door Disaster 2

Painting kitchen doors isn’t always a good idea as you can see from these before photographs sent to us by the lovely Adrian.

When Adrian discovered the previous occupants of this rental property had painted the existing kitchen doors Adrian knew it was time for a makeover.

By fitting stunning new oakgrain cream shaker doors, the kitchen looks like new.

Matching side-panels, plinth (aka kicker), cornice and handles add the finishing touches.

Smart landlords know kitchens add value to a rental property, really smart landlords know that doesn’t mean you need to install a completely new kitchen.

Huge thanks to Adrian for sharing these photographs with us.

DIY Kitchen Kilkenny in Stunning Light & Dark Grey Shaker Style

Every once in a while we come across a kitchen that leaves us absolutely lost for words. This Kilkenny kitchen is one of those.

This complete kitchen was put together by Eamon of Log Cabins 4 Less in Kilkenny

As you might expect from someone that builds custom wooden home extensions, the results are jaw-dropping.

The entire DIY kitchen is made up of clicbox complete DIY kitchen cabinets,
shaker oakgrain grey and shaker oakgrain graphite doors. The combination of light and dark grey shaker panels adds a modern slant on a classic kitchen design.

You might spot the island unit is also made of clicbox units with matching shaker panels and if you look really carefully you’ll see the bespoke dining table and bookcase are the same.

Absolutely outstanding results.

Donegal Kitchen Makeover by Amanda & Eugene

Amanda & Eugene Kitchen

This incredible kitchen makeover was completed by Amanda & Eugene in Donegal, they were kind enough to share some photographs with us.

The classic cream shaker door style really makes the kitchen feel warm and the co-ordinating metro tiles in 3 alternating colours is an inspired choice for the splashback.

By replacing the kitchen doors and handles the kitchen is completely transformed.

Matching side-panels, plinth (also known as kicker), cornice and pelmet add the finishing touches.

We think you’ll agree, this is one Donegal Kitchen you’d be thrilled to come home to.

Big thanks to Eugene & Amanda for sharing their photographs with us.
